For the next 6 weeks, we’ll launch two new Salesforce1 Lightning challenges designed to help you sharpen your Lightning skills. We may even publish some winners on the AppExchange for Components! Lightning components and apps are the future of the Salesforce1 platform and these challenges are a great way to learn before the paying challenges start rolling out.



If you are new to Lightning, you should check out the developer trail for Lightning components. It is a great way to get a quick start developing resuable UI components to power modern apps!

I'm looking for a getting started tutorial. Where can I find one?

I'm having problems loading external libraries (jQuery, bootstrap, etc.) and it sometimes throws an error??

This is a knows "feature" when dealing with async loadig resources. Take a look at ForceLogic's blog post for a solution.

Is there a step-by-step guide to creating Lightning components?

If you want to get up and running quickly with Lightning developing, check out the Lightning Components Quick Start. It has everything you need to build your first 'hello world' component.
